Newark Tips for Planning Your Day

Choose Your Excitement
Browse program offerings on our website and mobile app to find the activities that most appeal to you and your family.

Get the Details
This website and the program booklet provide maps, activity schedules, and program details. Pick up a booklet at an information tent when you arrive (or print it out before you leave home).

Arrive on Campus
Rutgers lots designated on the maps are open and free. Jot down the campus location and parking lot number found on lot entrance signs, or take a quick photo, to remember your car's location.

Check Out the Essentials

Our Dining Services provider Aramark will be hosting a buffet on the lawn of Woodward Hall and there are food vendors stationed throughout the campus. Or bring your own food and enjoy a picnic!

Restrooms are available in all buildings open for Rutgers Day. (Open buildings indicated in blue on campus maps.)

First Aid and Emergency Services
Assistance is available at the information tents as well as from Rutgers Day staff and public safety personnel. Emergency phones are located throughout our campuses. Call the Rutgers Police at 973-353-5111 or dial 911.

Lost Persons and Items
Immediately report a lost person to the nearest information tent or to any Rutgers Day staff member in a neon green or neon orange T-shirt. You can also call the Rutgers Police at 973-353-5111. Report or bring lost items to the nearest information tent.

Most Rutgers buildings (except historic buildings) are wheelchair accessible.

Use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones
Rutgers University has instituted a ban on the recreational use of unmanned aerial vehicles, remotely operated model airplanes and helicopters, and other remotely operated flying vehicles on university property, and the recreational use of any university-owned UAV equipment under any circumstances in any location. Failure to comply with this ban may result in confiscation of the UAV, imposition of disciplinary measures, and possible state and/or federal penalties.
