A rare ringing of the Old Queens bell opens the day on the College Avenue Campus, the historic center of Rutgers University and a destination for lovers of the arts and humanities. Take a step into the past to meet Henry Rutgers and other historical figures, or explore modern-day Rutgers through student life showcases. See how cultural vibrancy, as shown by the Asian Cultural Center, the Center for Latino Arts and Culture, and more, have influenced Rutgers’ global identity. The tradition of Family Day also continues at the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum.

Don’t miss the performances on the Big R Stage for the College Avenue Campus on the Voorhees Mall and the Scarlet Stage at the Brower Commons area.

On the Stage The Big R Stage, on the Voorhees Mall, boasts such acts as the Livingston Theatre Company (check out their latest numbers from Legally Blonde), Rutgers University Glee Club, and a jazz ensemble from the Mason Gross School of the Arts.	Voorhees Mall Children's programming comes to the Voorhees Mall! Puppet shows, storybook readings, musical performances, arts and crafts, and interactive programs will delight and engage children in the world of the arts and humanities. Visit the "R Garden" and watch it grow with your own design and those imagined by our departments and students	Old Queens Henry Rutgers, Mabel Smith Douglass, Paul Robeson, and other Rutgers notables will step out of history to share their stories and pose for a photo. Students will also lead short walking tours around the historic buildings. They'll give you a souvenir map and stickers depicting tidbits of information at each stop. Kirkpatrick Chapel and the Geology Museum are also open for sightseeing. Wait until you see the giant crab exoskeleton!
